Surrender Form

Considering rehoming you dog?

We understand there are many good reasons for needing to re-home your dog. We as a rescue respect these decisions.

If your desire to rehome your dog is because of behavioural or training issues, consider contacting a qualified training professional. We can offer recommendations for qualified professionals.

If the issue is housing, consider offering your landlord a refundable pet deposit to alleviate their concerns. If you are open to moving, target smaller buildings or private rentals that have flexible policies.

If you are facing homelessness and looking for temporary support in keeping your family together, try contact Through Ruff Times for advice

Program Acceptance

Acceptance into our surrender program is dependent upon a number of factors, but primarily upon the availability of a suitable foster home. We are a 100% foster-based rescue that relies on volunteer foster families to care for our dogs.

This form will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Please fill it in with as much detail as possible. Note that completing this form does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

Surrender fees are as follows:

Dogs that are up to date on vaccines and neutered/spayed – verified by a veterinarian

$300.00 – covers wellness check with one of our vets – required assessment is at the owner’s expenses

Dogs that are not up to date on vaccines and not neutered/spayed

$500.00 – covers the surgery and vaccines – required assessment is at the owner’s expenses.
